Re: Change Server Name
use "set_parms hostname"
this will prompt you for the new name for the server.
hope this helps.
thanks

Re: Change Server Name
For a temporary change you can do "uname -S newname" or "hostname newname".
For a permanent change, you could modify the /etc/hosts and HOSTNAME variable in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf
If you don't want to modify the files, the easier way is to run "set_parms hostname" which will change the name (will need a reboot)
If you are using DNS or NIS, you may have to update the name for this host there as well.
