Char Encoding, different types at the same time?

Dear all,

I've got a problem with language support on one of our servers: We need to support multiple char. sets at the same time, namely Japanese and simplified Chinese as well as the usual ascii. Has anyone done anything similar? (HPUX 11.00)

Any tips pointers RTFM's warmly received as ever!
