I am using cifsmount for a Win directory on to a 11i system. I can mount the directory fine and can view and vi files, but when running Catia V5 the application hangs when trying to read/write. Any ideas?

Re: cifs client
When you are doing your cifs mount are you mounting it rw? Also once it is mounted, logged in as that user, can you cd to the mounted directory and touch and delete a file? It certainly does sound like a permission problem. On thing I learned a long time ago is:
"If it feels like a permissions problem, it probably is".
Good Luck

If it has wheels or a skirt, you can't afford it.
