CIFS error !

Hi !

I have a little problem when i try to mount a shared directory from a windows server trought samba client.

The message is:

Connecting Server: UNIX: Broken pipe

The procedure is:

# mount -F cifs -o username=spooladm,password=Support01 WebSeguros02:/sii-interfaces /interfaces_win

The strange is that i have an other shared directories from others windows server on my hpux box without problems.

Some idea ?

Thank's in advance !!

Re: CIFS error !

It might be a case that "netbios" is disabled in the Windows server. Check the netbios status under the tcp/ip properties of the network interface. It should be enabled.

Re: CIFS error !

Shalom,

What does the samba log and netbios log say?

CIFS Client -- the software Messr. Ivan is using is NOT Samba... This is a common misconception about the CIFS Client software -- IT is not Samba...

The logs one should look at are in /var/opt/cifsclient/debug.

Ivan,

Set your cifsclient.cfg (NOT smb.conf) so it has more debugging onit and check the CIFS Client logs...
