Re: cifs problems

Hi,

Are you shore it is a cifs problem, could be a nfs problem, is your system running nfs_client are the nfs ports enabled.

Here is a good doc from the HP technical database.

http://www5.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000068502202

Document description: NFS mount command over TCP fails: "NFS getattr failed for server"
Document id: KBRC00012324

Hope this helps,

# ps -aef |grep rpc
root 1258 1 0 Mar 20 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpcbind
root 1299 1 0 Mar 20 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.lockd
root 1293 1 0 Mar 20 ? 0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.statd
root 1679 1 0 Mar 20 ? 2:11 /opt/dce/sbin/rpcd
root 8107 1983 1 09:29:50 pts/td 0:00 grep rpc
root 2557 1329 0 Mar 22 ? 0:00 /usr/dt/bin/rpc.ttdbserver
