Hi guys,
I'm an HPUX sys admin newbie and I work at an engineering company that has many buildings - some in different states.
Just wondering if there is a way for two guys on different workstations to view the same xwindow at the same time. I'm thinking this would be helpful for design reviews accross buildings since we're all on the same network and use visualize workstations. If this can be done, I'm assuming only one guy will have control while the other guy just views.
I know about using xhost + and exporting the display, but that only allows one xwindow to be shown on one machine (I think). Is there a way to have two windows on 2 machines (or more) showing the same thing?
thanks,
adam

Re: collaborate xhost?
Hello Adam,
when using VNC make certain that ALL users of the
VNC-viewer do check the "shared" option - or else
the second will kick out the first, the third will kick
out the second, and so on...
HTH,
Wodisch
BTW: You may re-compile it to make that option be
checked as default.
