compatibility issue
I am running a software (sybyl 6.8) on an HP-UX system. I would like to remotely use this sorftware from a PC (win XP). I have tried cygwin & cygwin/X , although something seems to happen, the display does not appear. I figured out it wsa due to imcompatibility of the two systems. Is there anythng than can be done to solve this problem ?

Re: compatibility issue
cygwin/X is a free software. It is just a X software like exceed, reflection.
If you have configured it properly, it should not have problem connecting to HP-UX. From your machine, does HP-UX machine's resolution OK?? name resolution should be set correctly in order to get X softwares work properly.
Do you get any erros in /var/dt/Xerrors???
Anything in $HOME/.dt/errorlog??? (both on hp-ux server)
