SolutionGive as host name the name you have put for the IP-ADDR in /etc/hosts you can give the same name to the remote printer name, I usually declare the printer as BSD and allow anyone to cancel a request (up to you...)

I use remote printers setup through SAM as a standard.
The "printer name" is the name of the printer on the UNIX side. The "Remote System Name" is the name of the LPD host as defined in your /etc/hosts or in DNS. SAM will verify that this is defined. The "Remote Printer Name" is the port name, usually something like lpt1 or lpt1_passthru. Checking the "BSD" type is generally OK. Checking "allow cancel by anyone" is fine too. Hopefully this helps.
