Re: Congrats! James

Hello my friends:

As I responded to Andreas Voss this morning, in a post he made urging me forward, "With my warmest regards to all of you who have taught me more than I have or ever could give back...". I SO SINCERELY MEAN THAT.

Rita, to answer your question, I began participating in the Forum in mid-July as I recall. Thus, it has taken me about 3-months to reach Royalty.

I feel like I have come to know many of you. I certainly share the passion and the vicarious pleasure those of us who "live" here show. To me, this forum is a collage of stars. To me, this forum honors the roots of what the Internet was originally conceived to be -- a vehicle by which knowledge could be shared. To me, this forum is truly representative of the adage that "the sum of the parts is greater than the whole."

Of course, I can always been found here, but if anyone of you would ever like to drop me a line, email me at jrbferguson@home.com. I am a philosopher at heart, but who would know that? Thank you all for your support. There's plenty of room here, and there's plenty of things to learn. Now, let's get Andreas booted up here!!!

With my warmest regards to all, Jim.

Again, congratulations!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your detailed responses. I can't contribute as much as I used to, and I'm glad to see so many new faces on this forum, with such great attitudes sharing experience and skills.

Re: Congrats! James

Congratulations - as a relative newbie (1 year on hp-ux) I have found the forums and all the royal courts' info to be incredibly educating. I actually charge my time to 'training' unless I'm researching a particular issue. Our staff and mangnmt here has come to regard the forum insights and info I pass on with high regard. Thank you all for participating and helping out - its one of the best tools ive found in my 13 years in data processing.
