Well done, Torsten. You are now the proud owner of the ugliest hat (with the possible exception of the green salad).

Re: Congratulations to the new Olympian - Torsten

Thank you all for the congratulations and thank you Rob for this thread!

Last time I washed my towel only a short time ago I was at around 16.000 points.
So I'm a little surprised about the new hat that I got last night.

I remember well a situation about 2 years ago.
In this time I just came back to HP-UX related hard- and software after doing different things. I came across this forum again and I found many useful threads, postings and hints.

But I remember one of the very early threads that I joined.
I wrote my solution, but nobody did listen to me - a hatless member at this time.
Because of this I try to remember always to read every single post in a thread very carefully (at least I try to do my best).
And so I decided to become at least an Olympian soon.
;-)

To be honest, this forum is a wonderful place.
I spent a lot of my spare time here too.
Every question can be a good reason to read a manual or a man-page or to test different things on my good old B180.

Without all these question, you will never get the idea to do so in most cases. The pro is, many questions you get

asked in your all-day business are not so surprising anymore - you are prepared already. I'm sure, many of you will agree.
All this increased my knowledge a lot and I'd like to share my experiences to help beginners and professionals to solve their problems and get in touch with this nice and robust OS.

So well, I'll begin to pick up all the empty cans around now and bring them to a recycling station to get my money back.
Then I will get a new pair of hiking shoes to climb up that mountain.
See you on top ;-)

Thank you all again!
It is a great pleasure to be here.

PS:
The towel was more comfortable to wear and

AFAIR this was the thread:

Hope this helps!

Shalom,

An amazing and fast ride to the land of salad.

Somehow I do not think this will be Torsten's last hat. I believe some stars will be added in the times ahead.

Congrats and good luck,

Always a pleasure to read your posts.
