I have a message in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log :

Connect second port : Connection timed out

HPUX 11.00 and L-Class 2000

I imagine you are hitting some theshold for rcp ftp or telnet sessions. Did you have any cron jobs going on at the time that this happened. Has it happened repeatedly?
