Console
Hello,
I have a N & L box with 700/96 consoles hooked to
each of them.
When logging into the L box the console shows the
copyright information and just "hangs" in the middle
of a sentence for at least two to three minutes before coming to the command prompt.
On the N box I was doing an ioscan -fnC disk
command. It output three disk, the third disk was
only partly there, and "hung" for about 3 to 4 minutes before showing the rest of the disk.
I have shut off the console then, while holding the
"D" key I turned the console back on but that did not help. I also stopped and restarted the getty
and that did not help.
I am able to telnet to both machines without a problem. The only problems I am having is the
"hanging" when I am on the consoles of each machine.
Any ideas???

Re: Console
Which terminal emulation mode you selected?
Please set the TERM type as hp
or vt100
Hope you can see results.
Thanks,
-Piyush.

Re: Console
Hi,
When you press "D" and power on the console.
Does it say "Default configuration use and press enter...."
I cannot remember exactly but just want to know the the procedure to restore to default is really work.
Does smooth scroll was * , it shouldn't.
