Re: controller model
Please post an "ioscan -fn" and "model" output and tell what kind of controller you are looking for (LAN, disks, FC, etc, ...).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: controller model
I see this disk controller with 4 disks connected:
escsi_ctlr 0 0/4/1/0 sasd CLAIMED INTERFACE HP PCI/PCI-X SAS MPT Adapter
/dev/sasd0
This is probably the default SAS controller of a rx2660, rx3600, rx6600 and BL860c.
What server model do you have?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: controller model
The spare partno of this controller is 403053-001, not sure if there is an option partno.
Another option is to use the smart array P400, so you can configure real hardware RAIDs up to RAID6.
Both cards should be quite cheap these days.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: controller model
Hello
I find a controller in the following site:
https://www.amazon.com/HP-403053-001-2-Port-Host-Adapter/dp/B00IYX3GCY
So I need you to check whether it is edintical to the controller (which i sent its info for you) or not?
And it is possible to be installed rx6600 server with hp-ux 11.23
bye

Re: controller model
Hello
I find a controller in the following site:
https://www.amazon.com/HP-403053-001-2-Port-Host-Adapter/dp/B00IYX3GCY
So I need you to check whether it is edintical to the controller (which i sent its info for you) or not?
And Is it used for rx6600 server in order to be able to install hp-ux 11.23 ?
How can I find the partno of installed controller command line?

Re: controller model
Apparently the command for querying that disk controller type is "sasmgr", and the model numbers are most likely in the Vital Product Data (VPD). So, one of the following commands should include the information:
# sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q vpd
# sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q phy=all
Disclaimer: I don't have an equivalent system I could use to test the command right now, so this is just based on the man page. The man page can be found at: http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c01921589-1.pdf (PDF page 291 and onwards).

Re: controller model
From the output of the sasmgr command, we now know that your controller part number is 435234-001.
HPE PartSurfer confirms that part number: http://partsurfer.hpe.com/Search.aspx?searchText=435234-001
(Before, there was only one true HP PartSurfer. Now there are two: the HP one and the HPE one.)
Googling with that part number gives me http://store.flagshiptech.com/hp-435234-001-8-port-pci-x-sas-hba-controller/ as the first hit. The third picture of the controller shows the HP part number labels on the reverse side of the controller. That label is the important thing to read. There you'll find the same part number your sasmgr command told you, prefixed with AS#.
I'm attaching a copy of the third picture from the flagshiptech.com store, with the number highlighted for your convenience.
The other part number on the same label is SP#: 435709-001.
Let's put that in HPE PartSurfer: http://partsurfer.hpe.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=435709-001
On that page, there's even a picture available: http://partsurfer.hpe.com/ShowPhoto.aspx?partnumber=435709-001
It looks identical to the picture you posted.
So, given that I cannot physically see the reverse side of the controller in your server nor the actual controller in the flagshiptech.com store, I must say that I am reasonably certain that those controllers are the same.
