Can anyone let me know how can I disable CPU on HP 9000, K420 hardware running HP-UX 10.01?

- Access the system console and reboot the system.
- Interrupt the boot process and access the BCH Main Menu.
- Switch to the COnfiguration Menu.
- Run the 'CPU' command to view the config. Run 'CPU 2 OFF' to deconfigure the CPU (CPU 2 in this example).
However, if the reason you are looking to deconfigure the CPU is because it is giving you hardware problems, this may not work out for you and you will have to pull it as previously suggested.

or simply pull the processor card.

on the K420 I would be inclined to go with pulling the unwanted processor card.
We ran 10.01 on an I class for several years.
until it needed more power and became a K420.
and got dragged up to 10.20 on th back of the y2k excuse .
