I have created software depots in the past for patches and CD's which contained HPUX software. However, I would like to create something similar for my own scripts. For example, I could create a depot for my own applications which would contain all the files. Im wondering if this is possible using swcopy aslong as I have set up the source OK. I have tried searching the ITRC and everything details HP software.
Any help would be approciated.
Thanks
Paul

You can copy the file sets to another software source target with swcopy.
Copy the C and Pascal products to some local and remote depots:
swcopy -s sw_server cc pascal @ /var/spool/sw hostA:/tmp/sw hostB
See more on swcopy man page on Examples part.
To create new software package, develope a product specification file (psf) and use swpackage a depot file.
