CRON
We are facing a different problem with the cron daemon ...
The problem is that for scheduled user jobs it forks itself but not 'exec'-ing ,eventually the system is filled up with many cron daemons running
FYI
1)The cron logs doesnt show any exceptions.
2) PHCO_17552 B.10.00.00.AA Year 2000 cumulative cron/at/crontab patch
Thanks in Advance

Re: CRON
For your information, PHCO_17552 has been superseeded by PHCO_19985 and didn't have dependencies specified.
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHCO_19985
This patch is dependent on the following CRITICAL libc cumulative patch (PHCO_22924)
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHCO_22924
Best regards,
Dan

Re: CRON
Even without the patches that u have mentioned the cron was working fine upto Jan 2001.
In other machines in our network they have the old patch only and not the superseeded one and on those machines cron is working fine.

Re: CRON
Are you sure your users' jobs ever terminate?
