CRS package
crs_stat -t shows that my crs packae is online.
But i was not able to ping/coneect to my package.later i observed the IP is not bound to the lan interface.
It was working well not sure what happened. I dont see any error in syslog as well as the crs logs.
Any one has a clue how the CRS package responds to the IP failure?Did any one has a similar experience?

Re: CRS package
If one of the VIP's fail, one of the nodes will be down as oracle rac makes a shutdown in the database and rac services of the node.
Probably, you will have to check what happened, correct that and put the node up again.
First, try doind a cold restart in the node.
Second, try putting the VIP address manually by using ifconfig (CRS uses this command).
Finally, check alert.log of the oracle databases as you said that there were nothing in crs logs.
Regards,

Re: CRS package
yes , this IP is something configured by ifconfig(rather than cmmodnet in a MCSG cluster). So this IP is not getting monitored like a MCSG cluster environment.
Also this is a application package. There is no impact to DB which would upate some thing in alert log.

Re: CRS package
So IP failure does not cause any fail over or any other CRS package level operation
