D Class Server not booting

When I power on the server in the small display box on the machine I get FLT7OFF. Normally when booting it will display INIT XXXX and once up will display RUN F101 HP320. Does anyone know what is stopping the machine from coming up? The server is at a remote location. thanks....paula

Re: D Class Server not booting

It looks as if you have some sort of memory problem. The FLT 70FF is an 'Unknown HPMC' (HPMC = High Priority Machine Check).

Call the Response Center and open a hardware call with them.

For D and R class Fault codes, have a look here:
http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/iv/node.do?node=prod%2FWW_Start%2FN1%7C11%7C6%7C5%7C1

The "Chassis code table" is where I found the above information.

Re: D Class Server not booting

The First digit '7' refers to memory subsystem. 70FF is Unknown HPMC. It's time to call your HP Mr. Goodwrench.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Patrick....You hit it right on the money!!! The memory chip needed to be reseeded. Must have come loose during shipping. Thanks for the quick response and help! paula
