Date and TimeZone
I have a System with hpux11.00
I set TimeZone and Date with set_parms in :
TimeZone=MET
/etc/TIMEZONE is :
TZ=MET-1METDST
export TZ
If I digit
date
the output is:
Tue Jan 14 09:53:13 MET 2003
If I digit
remsh marc date
the output is :
Tue Jan 14 08:53:51 WET 2003
Can I solve this problem?

Hi,
check if there is a TZ varible set in the .profile of the remsh user.
Or test what happened if you set the timezone:
set_parms in: TimeZone=MET
/etc/TIMEZONE is: TZ=MET-1METDST
# export TZ
and then do an:
# su -
# date
Maybe there exist a profile with a other timezone.

just remember to add to the shell login of this user to do export TZ .
mybe the username is using a diff shell
it happen in oracle user most of the time
