daul boot question

Hi,
Has anyone tried daul booting on Itanium servers. We have bought Itanium based server with factory installed HP-UX. We want to have dual boot for WIN XP and HPUX.

Any help in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

Re: daul boot question

I'm guessing here that what you need to do is run VPARs. Then in your virtual partitions, you can run Windoze/HP-UX/Linux.

Re: daul boot question

I don't think WinXP will run on Itanium. Windows 2003 will though.

You should be able to have HP-UX installed on one drive and Win2003 installed on another and boot from whichever you please.

Re: daul boot question

Shoudnt be a problem. All you need is 2 boot disks. HP-UX on one and XP on the other. When you reboot choose which boot disc you want!

Re: daul boot question

Please disregard my previous, obviously flawed, guess. The VPAR software is used strictly to run multiple HP-UX instances.
