Device /dev/poll
Dear,
I install Bind 9.3.2 in a chroot on a HP-UX 11iv1.
I create without problems pseudo device null, random & zero.
But i don't find anything for /dev/poll !
I try this :
mknod /chroot/dev/poll c 10 0
chmod 666 /chroot/dev/poll
But it doesn't work :
named[3542]: starting BIND 9.3.2 -c donnees/config/named.conf -t /chroot -u user
named[3542]: found 1 CPU, using 1 worker thread
named[3542]: /ux/core/inet/src/bind.src/bind-9/bind-9.3/bin/named/main.c:499: unexpected error:
named[3542]: isc_socketmgr_create() failed: I/O error
named[3542]: create_managers() failed: unexpected error
named[3542]: exiting (due to early fatal error)
And after a rm /chroot/dev/poll :
named[3555]: starting BIND 9.3.2 -c donnees/config/named.conf -t /chroot -u user
named[3555]: found 1 CPU, using 1 worker thread
named[3555]: /ux/inet3/inet/src/bind.src/bind-9/bind-9.3/lib/isc/unix/socket.c:3185: unexpected error:
named[3555]: open(/dev/poll) failed: No such file or directory
named[3555]: /ux/core/inet/src/bind.src/bind-9/bind-9.3/bin/named/main.c:499: unexpected error:
named[3555]: isc_socketmgr_create() failed: file not found
named[3555]: create_managers() failed: unexpected error
named[3555]: exiting (due to early fatal error)
I search in this page without success :

Any idea about minor/major numbers ?
