Device file name changed

Hi all,

I have a HP-UX box having two fibre channel adapter(second is for redundancy) both are connected with xp12k storage thru san switch.
When i do vgdisplay -v vgdata3 it's giving the following error

output of ioscan is not at all showing the device file name "/dev/dsk/c26t2d4":Im attaching the output of ioscan, lvmtab and vgdisplay with this thread. what might be the problem. how my device file name changed and help me to make my alternate link enable.

Hi,

did something cange? Is the cable connected to another switch port for example?

You have device files like

disk 326 1/0/12/1/0/4/0.3.15.0.0.2.4 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP
OPEN-V

in your ioscan. I assume you have "old" device files like "/dev/dsk/c26t2d4" in the /dev/dsk directory.

What gives "vgscan -p"?
