Devicenames.

What are the devicenames for the UPS, Remote, and Console serial ports coming off of the W cable? I need to identify the UPS serial port.

Generally, the W cable correspnds to newer servers such as the N/L class and rp-class boxes. Use the ioscan command as in:

ioscan -knfC tty

The first port will be zero, Remote is 1 and UPS port is 2.
