diald CPU high can I kill it

I have a diald process running with 97% of CPU for a very long time.

/opt/sanmgr/hostagent/sbin/diald

May I know what is this diald doing? Can I kill the process

Hi kholikt,

IF you're NOT running OpenView Storage Area Manager, then kill it.
If so diag it.

Re: diald CPU high can I kill it

The "diald" is one of the 2 daemons that are started by the CommandView SDM sfw (used to manage for example VA7XXX array). The other daemon is "hostagent". Have you take a look at the log file to see if you can find anything (opt/sanmgr/hostagent/log). What about patches are you uptodate on that ? Have you try restarting the daemon ?
