Differences between MC/OE dates

The A.03.04 release of Virtual Partitions requires HP-UX release 11.11v1, December 2006 update or later

We're currently on the following releases:

Superdome #1 B.11.11.0312 (December 2003 update)

Superdome #2 B.11.11.0509 (Sept. 2005 update)

My question is what is the difference? We are patched to a current level.

thanks

Re: Differences between MC/OE dates

Read the document carefully:

"HP-UX 11i v1 (11.11) December 2000 Update or later

PA-RISC servers based on the HP sx2000 chipset (rp7440,
rp8440, HP 9000 Superdome) require HP-UX 11i v1 (11.11)
December 2006 Update or later"

http://docs.hp.com/en/1705/oc.pdf

Do you really have a sx2000 Superdome?
Probably not.

Just make sure to install all current patch bundles.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Differences between MC/OE dates

Shalom,

A bi-annual patch date brings you up to the current level of the release, be it Enterprise, MCOE or OE.

If you take a look at this output:
swlist -l product | more
swlist -l fileset | more

You will see the date has been updated on the release.

You are good to go.
