different error messages
0/5/0/0.8.0 is giving "information failed" on the stm tool.
however i don't get "verified failed" or "excercise fail" and neither do i get any errors with ioscan -fnC disk?
what could be going on?
thanks,
ap.

Re: different error messages
last week 1/12/0/0.8.0 failed and an hp h/w support did a replacement.
1/12/0/0.8.0 under vg02 had lvol3, lvol5 and lvol6
i noticed that 1/5/0/0.8.0 is the mirror for the 1/12/0/0.8.0
could there be a synch issue?
thanks,
ap.

Re: different error messages
A.25.0 is old (I'm on A.44.0...). May be an upgrade will solve...

Re: different error messages
You can get A.44.00 from http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B6191AAE
If you still see the problem, look in the Activity and Failure logs for the disk info tool in STM to see if there are any clues there as to why the tool failed, but the upgrade is the first thing to do.
