disabling Auto Port aggregation
Hi,
I want to disable the starting of Auto-Port aggregation of HP-UX 11.0 in an N-Class server.
I searched in /etc/rc.config.d for config script to disable and not finding anything.
Can some body help to disable the HPAPA in such a way this will not interfere with my normal LAN devices.
Thanks,
-Suki

Re: disabling Auto Port aggregation
you need to do
/sbin/init.d/hpapa stop
Also check your network card configuration file and remove the appropriate entries from there
Thanks

Re: disabling Auto Port aggregation
Did you just install the APA product and are noticing problems or did you configure aggregates but now want them deconfigured? If the latter, your best bet is to modify the configuration files (either manually or using SAM) to remove previously configured aggregates.
If you just installed APA, you may have installed an older version. Installing the latest APA patch should fix this.
One easy way to find out is to look for a default mode configuration line in /etc/rc.config.d/hpapaconf. If there is a line and it says that the default mode is manual, you have a version that fixes the problem. If this is the case, we need to look at this further.
If you do not see a default mode configuration line, install the latest APA patch.
Thanks.
