Disabling services

Hi,

How do I disable the following services on my HP-UX 11.00 system:

SNMP
REXEC
RLOGIN
RSH

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Disabling services

Matt,

Look for those services in /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/services to comment them out. Then run "inetd -c" to read in the new configuration.

Re: Disabling services

snmp is disabled by changing the community and pubic strings in /etc/snmp.conf

Then rename the startup softlinks in

/sbin/rc2.d

mv S###snmp* s###snmp*

and the Kill scripts in

/sbin/rc1.d
