Re: disabling telnet
Hi,
To disable telnet, edit your /etc/inetd.conf file, comment out the line for telnet, and then force your inetd daemon to re-read the config file by doing an 'inetd -c'.

Re: disabling telnet
remove the 'telnet' line from /etc/inetd.conf and runstart inetd via 'inetd -c'
It is my firm belief that it is a mistake to hold any firm beliefs
