disk adding

WHAT IS THE COMMAND USED IN LINUX 5.2 TO ADD A HARD DISK THOUGH IT IS GETTING DETECTED AS HDC
BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO PARTITION IT WITH FDISK
PLEASE HELP ME OUT

There are a number of tools that do this, it's all dependent on the distrubution set you've used. Disk Druid comes with some as well as fdisk. Some have the disk tools built into a linuxconf type tool. Each Dsitro set of linux has a website with a very detailed F.A.Q. on how to deal with disks.

The list goes one. =) just go to the one for the software you're useing and viola! you'll find what your looking for.

I have found out that through cabaret utility
we can add disks and partition it
