Disk not detected

Hi All,

I am trying to connect rp8420 to va7100 through san switch. Va7100 was previouly accessed by another server having Fiber card
Tachyon TL / B.11.11.09.Now rp8420 is having
Fiber card Tachyon XL with B.11.11.09.Luns on the VA7100 ate controlled through secure manager. When we set the WWN number of rp8420 for one LUN it is not getting detected in ioscan output. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Disk not detected

Pradeep,

Do you see NO_HW when performing a ioscan.

Can you attach the output of ioscan.

Re: Disk not detected

It looks like your SAn is not allowing the serevr to se the LUN, recheck your configuration

Re: Disk not detected

Make sure the lun has a correct WWN World Wide Name associated with it.

It must be the WWN from the fiber card on the rp8420 system.

fcmsutil /dev/td0 or whatever the actual device name, should be used to obtain the correct WWN.

Re: Disk not detected

Hi Steven,
I've given the N_Port Node World Wide Name of rp8420 only. But it is still not showing any disks.

I think you need to give the N_Port Port World Wide Name
