Re: dld.sl

Hi

1)Get it from a backup

2)Try and load the latest load linker patch

3)Look at
/usr/lib/dld.sl
/usr/newconfig/usr/lib/dld.sl

The newonfig should do if there but rename the old one and not remove it.

Re: dld.sl

Are getting errors? For example:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't find path for shared library:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory

If so then this is a patching issue, probably with a programming language. Are you using JAVA for example?

Re: dld.sl

Nothing wrong with the file.
I have a Cobol problem when compiling.
My dld.sl file on two other servers where compiling works is not the same size as the one where I have the problem. So I want to replace the original one with one of those machine's dld.sl files.
Is this possible? & HOW?

Re: dld.sl

Hi,

Check your patch levels. dld.sl is updated by the latest ld and linker cumulative patch e.g. PHSS_26559 for HP-UX 11.00.
