DLVM is Distributed Logical Volume Manager, which is the same as SLVM, Shared Logical Volume Manager.

Distributed Logical volume manager same as a SLVM (s=shared), and is indicative of a service guard env.

you can't use sam to modify the fs but can use lvextend(1) and extendfs(1) commands

boils down to SG wanting the VG to be in "exclusive" mode ieundistributed/shared when doing modifications to the VG.
