We have some hpux precomplied apache and other apache that were compiled on hpux 11.0 after downloading from apache.org.

Does anyone know about it and is the only way to fix it is upgrade apache to newer version ?

No. Upgrading to a newer version is a good option and you can always to patch the current version according to the security instruction

We have 1.3.29 on hpux 11.0 which was compiled on the server after downloading from apache.org ?
Does securtiy advisory affect this version ( not downloaded from hpux site)?

I did not see patch upgrade info in the link I provided ? Did you see it ? Because I prefer nott to do a new install and move config files
