I hope you can assist....
I have received an Ignite image from a colleage in Sweden - this image has been installed, tested and everything is Ok apart from one thing - the performance of dtfile. The workstation is a C3700, the image is based on HP-UX 11i and the Goldapps and Goldbase patches from Dec 2004 are installed.
When a user uses dtfile to view the contents of a directory, dtfile can take a number of minutes to display the directory contents. This seems to be without regard for the size or quantity of files in the directory.
Any help is much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Leon.

Re: Dtfile performance really bad...
I would bet that this is an NFS problem. The first thing to do is try to narrow the scope of the problem. Open a terminal session and do an ls of exactly the same directory. Is the response normal.
