duplicate IP address

Dear all,

on my old old Unix workstation under UX 9.07 I have a new problem !!

At boot the following message appeared :
"network PROBE Error 2012 pid [ICS] ARP packet duplicate IP address : 172.30.120.21 from 0800-09f2-29bc".

I changed the IP address (files hosts and netlinkrc) to 172.30.120.121.
But I still have the SAME error message.

Somethere there is a file which contains the previous IP address.

Could somebody tell me where ?
and how I can resolve my problem ?

thanks

Vince

Re: duplicate IP address

Dear Peter,

I already read the FAQ for this problem, and none gave me the solution !!!

My system is a UX 9.07 and I found the problem this afternoon .....

Last month, a user connected 2 workstations which had the same IP addresses (172.30.120.21).
At the boot of one of them the system wrote the detection of the duplicate address in the file : /usr/adm/nettl.LOG00

Now at each boot the file is read (by nettl - start) and the error is displayed on the console.
But the error doesn't still exist any more !!!

So I erase the file and now the boot is correct, without any errors.

thanks for your help
