duplicate tapes

If i can two tape devices attached to mi server.
I can copy from tape to tape?

You might have to do some tuning of block sizes but dd should work:

dd if=/dev/rmt/0m of=/dev/rmt/1m

Any particular reason why you want to do this?

If it is duplication of OmniBack Tapes for offsite purposes, you can copy them using the 'omnimcopy' command.

If you are backing up a mirror copy of data, it may be quicker to run the backup twice, instead of copying tapes.
