Hello All,
I have ordered virtual machines software...for a server which has 4 cpus...i was told that i have to purchase lic per cpu -
so 4 lice have been purchsed..Now i got 4 media's for this software.One media will be enough to install Virtual machines software on a server(on vm host) to my knowledge..
So my question is why have i received 4 media.
please advice.

This is a "feature" of the ordering system. You have to request the no-media option for three of the CPU sets. But it's too late for that. The 4 media pieces are all the same. Consider them as extra backup copies.

In addition it enables you to increase flexibility. Without worrying about software licensing costs in virtualized environments, you will be able to focus your attention on architecting your systems based upon the best technical solution. This enables more effective consolidation.
