Re: ECC version to be checked.
To find out which version of Solutions Enabler you have simply run from the command line:
symcli

Re: ECC version to be checked.
ECC was installed using "install_master.sh" script. This script resides in package of ecc agent.
moreover symcli is also not found in server.

Re: ECC version to be checked.
What they did was 'push' out the agent from ECC. To find out what version of ECC you are running you need to log into the Windows box running that software.
So, like any Windows product, open up ECC and it should show you version on that first screen for login. Or login and click on toolbar at top 'Help/About'.
The rest is just personal opinion, so read or ignore...
May also point that they did not load the database on HPUX. Likely, it is loaded on that Windows box. You could login to that Windows server and from the command line there (DOS screen) run the same CLI commands (symcli) to find out the version.
Each shop is set up however they want it configured. Yours appears to be slanted to the Windows side for control, which is different then ours.
You may find, as I have on more than one occassion, that ECC does always perfectly reflect what the database says. We just upgraded our entire storage infrastructure, and I do love EMC products, but I have caught some 'glitches' even on this new and I must admit much improved ECC product. Which is my preference for keeping database on HPUX where it is easier for me to run commands to check the database (symmaskdb) and other things.
Hope this helps you somewhat.
Rgrds,
Rita
