When I try to mount our bcv's from the emc
to an HP-UX 11.0 box I get the following
error. It works on other systems but they are
11i. I was told it use to work on this 11.0
system. All patches applied from patch analysis.
+ /usr/sbin/mount -r /dev/vg40/lvol1 /bcv_u940
mount - unrecognized vxfs version number
Any ideas?

Solution
Hi Jerry:
On 11i, JFS 3.3 is the default JFS version installed. In turn, JFS 3.3 creates version-4 VxFS filesystems by default. Version-4 filesystems require JFS 3.3 or later. You must run JFS 3.3 on 11.0, not JFS 3.1 as was originally available.
Regards!

Re: emc bcv's mount error
Hi:
Yes, 'vxupgrade' will upgrade a JFS filesystem version level, *but*, as the manpages note: "Once a file system has been upgraded to Version 4, it is no longer mountable on...HP-UX 11.0 without JFS 3.3 from Application CD".
Regards!
