EMS notification

I just installed HIDS(Host Base Intrusion Detection) on two of my servers. I edited the /etc/syslog.conf and added this line
*.err /var/adm/syslog/syslog/syslog.log on Saturday October 16. I also use EMS for monitoring.
I started recieving these errors last night.
Event data from monitor:
Its current value is DOWN(1).
The system is not responding to the monitor's query# ro

Even though the system is not down.

What could be my problem?

Re: EMS notification

EMS not reporting the system down. Its reporting that a service or configuration is down. Perhaps syslog or HIDS.

Re: EMS notification

What's the full text of the EMS event message? See the /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log file.
