How do you turn off a EMS notice for a specific HW Path? We have a old system w/floppy that is inop, and I want to stop the EMS warning for that specific path.

Re: EMS
EMS settings are as a last resort accessible via SAM.
There is a function to let you toggle on and off alerts by specific hardware.
Thats how i did it the first time when I was an EMS novice.

Solution
Check the file /var/stm/data/tools/monitor/disabled_instances for details on diabling a specific instance.
The doc at http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/ems/ems_faq.htm has some additional info also.
