Emulators

I hask before about a terminal emulator for
Linux. I am using Linux to connect to a HP9000 however I can not use any of the terminals on Linux to run the programs on the HP.The programs on the HP use the F Key functions.
Please advise.

Re: Emulators

Hi,

I think you'd better post this in the Linux forum. You'll have a lot more chances getting an answer.

Re: Emulators

I think this is an HP-UX problem, not a linux one. It is the same probleme to searching a telnet client program on NT, emulating the "F keys" : i think there are no one, because this fonctionnality is made by the HP console (like using stm, sam, or simply tsm).
Sorry, but i think there are no solution, but you can use this function with the menu ?!

Re: Emulators

Hi Baudoin.

A very good telnet client for NT is Hoastaccess, a trial vervion is available at:-
www.pixel-group.com

I use it on all windows platforms although at present there are a couple of problems with win 2000.
It is fully configurable.
Please be aware that if you enable the command stack your password when you login is held in clear text.

Re: Emulators

Hi Paula,

Thank you for your response.
Before trying this telnet client, can you simply tell me if it emulate the F key functions ?

Baudoin.
