I got an error message from the server like this ....
"sleeping: fcntl lock of pid file failed: Permission denied"
What does it mean and the what is the solution for this ?

You see this error when there is a large number of ftpd(1M) processes starting at the same time. It usually reports only once or twice for each ftpd(1M) process and then the ftpd(1M) process is able to
obtain the lock and continue.
