Hello Gurus
On HP-UX, Does it have a command like prtdiag on Solaris that would actually show what component is faulty on the server or an enclosure thats attached to the server ? I know you can look at mail, syslog, rclog. And ioscan or print_manifest to check hardware that is installed.
Would there be anymore error logs to look at or any commands like prtdiag,So that i can pin point what have failed and where the location of the failed component ??
Thanks in Advance
William

Solution
Hi,
No there is no command like Sun's prtdiag on HPUX, but if you install the online diagnostic tools you can use the xstm gui to view the state of your system.

Re: Error Logs
I don't know this tool, but I just read a bit about it.
There is no similar tool like this on hp-ux.
But something different. The online diagnostics together with EMS will monitor the hardware and alert you if there is a problem (for example by mail, snmp, syslog, ...).
In combination with ISEE your system can even open a support case directly.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
