error message from telnetd

I keep on getting the following error messages in syslog very frequently:

telnetd[11208]: Error checking child termination status: error 4: Interrupted system call

Any hints what this means?

If you are 11.11 then you need the latest shell patches. this is documented there

Also get the telnet arpa and streams patches

Re: error message from telnetd

Hi,

Where I know this error from is that whenever someone closes it's X-connection without nicely closing the the open terminals.
This is also for open VT-emulations, etc.

Look at "last" To find any open connections that are currently not logged in anymore (/usr/bin/w). Just send those users a friendly e-mail to educate :)
