error message
Hi
we are running sybase on HP-UX 11.0 in a two node cluster environment. sybase
users are often disconnected from the database, but are able to login again,
and in the log file
/etc/cmcluster/sybaseP.cntl.log
the following message appears
"kernel can not read host process disconnected: Windows DB-Lib Client 10950
spid:44 "
anybody seen this message or any suggestion what this message means or where it
is pointing to.
Thanks

Re: error message
If both of your systems are part of the cluster and if the cluster is working
correctly then there is no question that the users are logged out or
disconnected from the database.
Check for the Kernel parameters on both the servers and they should match each
other in allmost all respects.

Re: error message
when users are disconnected, no switching of nodes take place and there is no
error message in the syslog file. so the question is how kernel parameters of
standby(secondary) node have any effect if the package is still running on the
primary node.
Thanks

Re: error message
That means your node switchover is not functioning, rather the clustering is
not functioning.
