Error when crating a new kernel
I'm wondering if somebody can help.
I'm working on a HP-UX 11.11 and I tried to change a kernel parameter via SAM. When it tries to create a new kernel I have back the error shown in the attachement and I cannot proceed. Any idea?

Re: Error when crating a new kernel
Nice desktop.
You are missing a file.
My 11.11 system does not have such a file.
Have you installed a strong random number generator or such product that now requires such a file?

Re: Error when crating a new kernel
"Cannot build a kernel using /usr/sbin/config. The standard output of the command is shown below:
config: cannot find file -- /stand/system.d/random
The command exitted with exitcode -71."

Re: Error when crating a new kernel
I understand a file is missing.
The problem is that I've not installed any strong random number generator, or better I'm not aware about this if it has been installed within a bundle or other. I did a "swlist -l fileset" but I've not found anything interesting. Whould you like to have a look? See attachment.
Thanks

Re: Error when crating a new kernel
have you done anything else prior to this, e.g. patching?

Re: Error when crating a new kernel
last time I update the kernel was on January 05.. I've probably put in on some sw and patches... I'm going to understand what and I let you know.
Thanks
