Error while vgextending..

Hi Experts,

I have two LUNS and need to extend a fs on vg01.I am getting the below error
vgextend vg01 /dev/dsk/c12t2d2

Current path "/dev/dsk/c18t1d7" is an alternate link, skip.
Current path "/dev/dsk/c14t1d6" is an alternate link, skip.

vgextend: Couldn't install the physical volume "/dev/dsk/c12t2d2".

Can any one help on this why ? I have pvcreated the disk before and disks are claimed state too. HP UX 11.23

This is because you are adding another link for the same PV and the max alternate link can be added to one PV is 7.
