Not sure what this error means. Any ideas.

Re: Errors in syslog

This does not llok like an error. A conne ction was requested on samba and client itself reset it.

Are you having any problem with samba??

Re: Errors in syslog

no problems with Samba at all. Nothing seems to be wrong just wondering about the read failure for 4 part of it.

Re: Errors in syslog

I think it is coming out of the fact that client is resetting the session in the middle of session.

Re: Errors in syslog

I used to get this alot and it worried me.

It really is nothing to worry about though someone probably cancelled their samba connection before the response came back.

I'm pretty sure that when we got connection reset by peer it was because people weren't closing their telnet sessions cleanly.

Re: Errors in syslog

The client side of the samba connection was disconnected.

Looks like an impatient user to me partner, I wouldn't sweat it at all.
